Privacy Policy

Path Pocket Memories ("we," "us," or "the app") helps you record spoken answers to questions, turn them into written transcripts, and save, share, or email those memories. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

Information the App Handles

• Audio recordings — the spoken answers you record in the app.
• Transcripts — the written text created from your recordings.
• Email addresses you enter — only when you choose to email a memory to someone, the address you type and the memory's contents are used to send that one email.
• Purchase information — records of in-app purchases you make, handled through Apple and our purchase provider.

The app does not ask you to create an account or log in, and it does not collect your name, location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Where Your Memories Are Stored

Your recordings and transcripts are stored locally on your device. When you delete a memory in the app, it is removed from your device. We do not keep a copy of your memories on our own servers.

How Your Information Is Used

• To convert your recordings into text when you ask the app to transcribe them.
• To let you view, export to PDF, share, or email your memories.
• To process in-app purchases.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

Service Providers We Use

To make the app work, we rely on a few trusted third-party services. Information is shared with them only as needed to perform the task you requested:

• Deepgram — converts your audio into text. When you transcribe a recording, that audio is sent to Deepgram for processing.
• Resend — delivers email. When you choose to email a memory, the recipient address and the memory's contents are processed to send that message.
• RevenueCat — helps manage in-app purchases.
• Apple — processes payments through the App Store.

Data Retention

Your memories stay on your device until you delete them. When you transcribe or email a memory, our system processes that request and passes it to the relevant provider, but does not store your recordings or transcripts on our servers afterward. Third-party providers retain data according to their own policies.

Children's Privacy

Path Pocket Memories is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us so we can address it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections when data is sent over the internet. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

• You can delete any memory directly in the app at any time.
• You control microphone access in your device's Settings.
• Emailing a memory is always your choice and only happens when you ask for it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
